COLLAPSE is a team-based serious game that teaches participants to think
systemically about building resilient communities in a future with an unstable,
warming climate.

The aim of the game is simple: maximise your community’s wellbeing, and don’t
collapse! Every turn, new climate disasters strike, and the game will test the teams’
planning skills! Teams can choose from a wide array of energy, transport, agriculture,
security, art and culture designs for their community, but they’d better choose wisely
because not all designs are equally resilient, and planning mistakes can become
very costly.

The game was designed by Ginie Servant-Miklos (ESSB) and illustrated by Lize
Prins. It is available for use as an open education resource by educators under a
Creative Commons License BY-NC-ND.

COLLAPSE is funded by the CARE programme, a grant co-financed by Erasmus
Trust Fund, Erasmus X, Erasmus D&I Office, Erasmus School of Philosophy and
Erasmus University College.
